When World of Warcraft: Shadowlands launched, there was with a buffet of character customization options for humans, night elves, orcs, and undead. Blizzard stated that they would not be revisiting the issue during Shadowlands, but it looks like that’s about to change.

The Nightborne have been a point of contention for World of Warcraft fans since they were added at the end of Legion and beginning of Battle for Azeroth, as they only had a scant handful of faces, hairstyles, and hair colors. It looks as though players will be able to mix things up a little more, which is great for such a popular race.

More character customization options for Lightforged Draenei and Nightborne are coming in Patch 9.1.5! Blizzard has also announced this patch will have new Travel Forms for Druids and ear size options for Void Elves.

Lightforged Draenei and Nightborne are two Allied Races that lagged behind the other races when it came to Shadowlands customization additions, leading players to create fan concepts inspired by the additional customization options present on Legion NPCs.

Patch 9.1.5 will expect to keep players busy while they wait for 9.2 to come out, however since the team is behind schedule after the long delay of patch 9.1, it is possible both patches may be delayed.

An X.1.5 patch typically will release 3 months after the previous patch, which leaves a 9.1.5 release date sometime around early October.

Dataminer Stiven reported on Twitter that build 39757 for Burning Crusade Classic patch 2.5.2 revealed a new file that indirectly referred to patch 9.1.5. A new line of code and a new file called Deprecated_9_1_5.lua would contain information about some LUA functions that would be obsolete for patch 9.1.5.

With Burning Crusade Classic Phase 2 expected to launch sometime in the next six weeks, we can expect the 9.1.5 PTR to then take priority for testing to keep players filled with content after the initial phase 2 drop-off.
