- Rockstar Games has announced a free care package for Red Dead Redemption 2 PC players

Rockstar pushed out an update a few weeks ago to address many of the issues that have plagued Red Dead Redemption 2 since launch. along with the promise of a bonus bundle for anyone that's managed to play Red Dead Redemption 2 from launch "through to the holiday season". That bonus bundle is now live for eligible players when they next log in to Red Dead Online, according to a blog post from Rockstar.

If you fit the criteria, when you next log in to Red Dead Online you'll find the Prieto Poncho is free in the Camp Wardrobe or at any clothing store. And if you were hoping for something a bit more practical, Wheeler, Rawson & Co. has a care package full of useful goodies including various types of ammo, throwing knives, and restorative items for both you and your trusty steed. With our best and cheapest Red Dead Redemption 2 Gold Bars, get yourself with powerful items, pets and equipment, become the key player in each mission.

It also outlined what’s being handed out to players in the care package for Red Dead Online players. Along with a Prieto Poncho, which is available for free at the Camp Wardrobe or in clothing stores, players will get a whole bunch of other items:

    100x Revolver Express Ammo
    100x Pistol Express Ammo
    100x Repeater Express Ammo
    100x Rifle Express Ammo
    100x Shotgun Slugs
    20x Shotgun Incendiary Buckshot Slugs
    20x Fire Arrows
    20x Poison Throwing Knives
    20x Volatile Fire Bottles
    10x Potent Miracle Tonic – fully restores Health, Stamina and Dead Eye and Fortifies moderately
    3x Horse Reviver – revives Horse from severe injury and moderately restores its Health
    10x Minty Big Game – fully restores all Cores and yields a Gold Health Core
    20x Baked Beans – moderately restores Health Core and Stamina Core

Those who are already playing Red Dead Online and have an existing character should have the care package now, and will just need to pick it up from their Camp Lock Box or any post office. Folks new to Red Dead Online will get the package within 24 hours of creating a character. A couple more gifts are also in the pipeline for all denizens of Red Dead Online, namely a variant of the Marino Bandolier, along with a new off-hand holster and an additional care package.
