- Mojang Launches Its First DLC Pack For Minecraft Dungeons This Week

Minecraft Dungeons' first DLC, Jungle Awakens, is out on July 1, 2020, according to an update from developer Mojang. "That’s right, the first Dungeons DLC is on its way!" wrote Mojang's Sofia Dankis. "Jungle Awakens will be released on July 1, so get ready to battle new mobs such as the Leapleaf and Whisperer before ultimately saving the day by defeating the Jungle Abomination."

The DLC is included for those who bought the Hero Edition, whereas vanilla editions can "always upgrade your standard game with the Hero Pass". "In this adventure, you’ll enter a distant, dangerous jungle to fight a mysterious power in three new missions. To defeat the terrors hidden among the vines, you’ll have new weapons, armor, and artifacts at your disposal," Mojang explained.

The first pack will include three new story missions and new weapons, armors, and artifacts. There'll also be new mobs such as the Leapleaf and Whisperer, and the Jungle Abomination. If you've bought the Hero Edition, you'll already have access to this content when it's released. If not, you'll need to upgrade your standard copy of the game by purchasing the Hero Pass.

Jungle Awakens is included as part of Minecraft Dungeons' Hero Pass, which costs around £8 and also provides access to the Creeping Winter DLC, out later this year. If you already purchased the Hero Edition of Minecraft Dungeons, the pass is included so you won't need to do anything more.

Mojang also promises a string of free updates for the game, which adds a new "Lower Temple" dungeon into the mix, as well as new items and balance changes.
