Rio Ferdinand, a former English international, is a FIFA addict and one of the faces in the popular EA Sports game. Moreover, he had the pleasant opportunity to participate in Modo Jornada 2, where he appears to interview the star Alex Hunter, main character of the "novel" of FIFA 18.

And as a frequent fan of the game, Ferdinand participates in the Ultimate Team with a luxury lineup, which he revealed to his followers this week.

Rio Ferdinand has showed off his FIFA 18 Ultimate Team – and it’s amazing.

The former Manchester United defender-turned-boxer has pulled no punches and has picked the best attackers in the game up front.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Neymar lead the line – while Brazilian Ronaldo’s on the bench as a ‘super sub’.

Dele Alli, Luka Modric and United’s Paul Pogba make up the middle, with Dani Alves and Marcelo lying deep on the flanks.

Ferdinand’s put himself at the back with Sergio Ramos, while David de Gea’s between the sticks.

Imagine coming up against this team – you’d have no chance!

Elsewhere in the FIFA world, fans may be used to a new game coming out every year, but that could soon be about to change.

In a recent interview with Bloomberg, EA’s CEO, Andrew Wilson, hinted the publisher could move away from an annual release cycle and towards an update and subscriptions model.

“The greatest disruptor to the consumption of entertainment media in the last five years has been the combination of streaming plus subscription,” Wilson said.

“It’s changed the way we watch television. It’s changed the way we listen to music. It’s changed the way I read books.

“There’s a world where it gets easier and easier to move that code around — where we may not have to do an annual release.

“We can really think about those games as a 365-day, live service.”

That would certainly be a game changer.
