According to ShiinaBR, Fortnite's latest multiverse portal has been labelled 'Skirmish', and the images embedded in their tweet suggests that Street Fighter's world is about to collide with Fortnite.

Ryu will come with a Traditional white gi, black belt, and red headband, and Battle variant. Each Outfit also features a Training Bag Back Bling and the built-in Shoryuken! Emote. Chun-Li comes with a Nostalgia variant and complete with a Super Cab-Masher Back Bling and built-in Lightning Kick! Emote. Each character bundle also includes a “Player Select!” loading screen, Sumo Torpedo Glider, the Seven Star Flashing Flail and Signpost Pummeler Pickaxes.

The trailer does indicate that Ryu and Chun-Li will “join the hunt,” which is a reference to an ongoing event for the game’s fifth season. This season of Fortnite features a character named Agent Jonesy who recruits characters from various realities to assist in in-game events. This includes characters like the Mandalorian and Predator, who is the titular character across various films. A 2D version of Agent Jonesy can be seen in the trailer teleporting the two iconic fighters out of their match.

It’s been a busy last couple of months for crossovers in Fortnite. At the end of last year, Epic added Kratos from God of War and Master Chief from Halo to celebrate the release of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
